PCOD

PCOD- Polycystic Ovarian Disorder is a disorder of the reproductive system caused due to hormonal imbalance. It is commonly encountered disease in the younger population in recent times. The signs of PCOD emerge gradually. Similar to men (a healthy woman's body also generates a certain number of male hormones), during adolescence the amount of estrogen and progesterone secreted in the body decreases owing to the changing lifestyle, lack of physical activity, rapid and improper eating habits with a lot of fat, stress, etc. It is a polycystic ovarian syndrome in its early stages (PCOS).

Usually, the uterus has ovaries on both sides. There are numerous eggs in this ovary. Every month, these eggs develop one by one and rupture on the 14th or 15th day following the start of menstruation. The fallopian tubes are where the eggs exit and travel to the uterus. If the egg is not fertilised by the sperm, it will transform into menses at the end of the month and menstruation will happen. These cysts become enormous cysts if they do not mature. This ailment is also known as PCOD or PCOS.

Due to this, a lot of young ladies grow unwanted hair on their faces, bodies, and stomachs. If this is not fixed, irregular periods will begin, fat and hair loss will progressively set in, and difficulties conceiving will appear.
