What is Parkinson’s Disease?

It is a long-term neuro-degenerative disorder primarily affecting the motor system in the central nervous system. Parkinson’s disease gradually deteriorates the nerve junctions at the base of the brain, leading to abnormal movements and muscle control. A patient with this disorder loses control over body movements and shakes or shivers while moving, which at advanced stages can lead to behavioural and emotional issues.
